Mettler Family Vineyards 2001 Petite Sirah, Lodi

"This wine opens with a bouquet of blackberry, blueberry, pepper, chocolate, and caramel which repeat as flavors with the addition of cherry and lots of tannin and finish medium broad. Easily drinkable now, it needs two plus years to open and develop more depth and weight and show at its best. Nicely balanced, structured, and integrated....NICE!"
