'Sweet Cherries and Creamy Oak!'-The Connoisseurs Guide-Aug 2003
Mettler Family Vineyards 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon, Lodi
“Fairly ripe in tone, but never so “roasted” as to reveal its inland origins, this outgoing wine tastes of sweet cherries and slightly creamy oak and shows a fair sense of richness from beginning to end. It dries a touch and allows a bit of heat to emerge in the finish, but it remains a more than serviceable companion to the likes of a long-braised beef brisket.”
